So apparently my last journal was in 2013. Blimey. Man how time flies.
But then again, these past few years have been very busy lately. And compared to every other place I'm hanging around right now, there hasn't been much activity on this particular page, either on my side or on other people's sides. You may have noticed that I've been uploading quite a few drawings recently, but even then, there have been few and far between.
Anyways. I saw this questionnaire meme from DA's 15th birthday hanging around. And although I'm obviously very late to the bandwagon, I thought I'd give this a go anyway, just to show that, hey guys, I'm still alive.
As for what happens next... well, you'll probably be seeing my artwork more often. I'll be doing some more Farfalla Rossa art here and there, and I'll also start working on some of the other characters set in her world too, otherwise she's going to start feeling a little lonely. XD As for written pieces, I may or may not post some stories here and there, but I do have this idea of publishing my own stories at some point, and I'll need to think about how to do this very carefully before I jinx my own chances at getting published or being successful self-publishing. If anything, I'll probably post them on my wordpress blog rather than here, but we'll see how that goes.
With regards to journals... well, I find that having too many websites to keep track of lessens my productivity, so I've decided that I should focus on just a few places. So that would be SpaceBattles and Sufficient Velocity for forum use, Wordpress to write my stories and journals, twitter for social media shenanigans, and here to post my artwork. As such, I won't be using journals on here as often to speak about myself. If you want to follow me elsewhere, check the links to my blog and Twitter account up above, or look for Thy-Robocop in either SpaceBattles or Sufficient velocity.
So, with that out of the way, let's dive into this meme
===000===1:How long have you been on DeviantArt?
My account tells me I've been here for 6 years now.
2:What does your username mean?I'm called Robert in real life, so sometimes my friends shorten my name to Robo. From there to Robocop is not a big jump. As for the Thy, I was going for 'The-Robocop', but then I'd thought I'd make the name fancier using Thy. At the time, I also believed that Thy means The in old English, but as it turns out, it means 'yours'. So yeah... oops. XD

5:What was your first deviation?
Desire Profile: Alyssa G.-Basics-
Name (nickname): Alyssa Gillespine
Height: About 1.70 meters
Weight: 65 kg
Build: Average, although a bit on the weak side
Eyes: Light blue
Defining features: Has a couple of tattoos (in reality permanent glyphs), one on her shoulder (a pentagonal star with an unblinking eye in it), one on her left palm of her hand (a simplified hourglass inside a circle), and one on her belly (a circle with a square and a triangle inscribed, with the belly-button at the very center.) The meaning of these tattoos are described below.
Clothing: Ties her long brown hair at mid-length with a red ribbon, wears a black baseball cap, a black and red stripy scarf, a dark green jumper and a long skirt with elaborate decorations on it (which can magically turn to plain brown trousers with pockets by speaking a magical word) an
The character profile for Alyssa Gillespine, to participate in the first Writers OCT ever made on DA, the Desire OCT. I wonder... are there still any Writers OCTs going on now?6:What is your favourite type of art to create?
A few years ago, I would have said writing, definitely. But I haven't been writing much in the past few years, and I've started drawing traditional and even digital artwork too, so I guess the ball is still in play for now. Give me a couple more years and I'll let you know.7:If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
Dunno if I want to master a different art-style just yet, but I'd really like to learn about coloring my artwork both digitally and with pencils, as well as to make my own manga panels for a webcomic. 8:What was your first favourite?, Griddles
's Helix Girls from back in the day. I hear the team has expanded by quite a few girls nowadays.9:What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
It seems I've added to my favourites artwork of all sorts over these years. But I guess artwork with characters that I like, or magical girls, tend to attract my fancy most.
10:Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
This one was quite hard, as there are so many artists that I like on here. But my gut is telling me Unknown-person
, so I'll go with him11:If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
Ah, that's a fairly easier one: Griddles
, other members of the old OCBZComics
...12:How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
It was Griddles
fanfic of the PPGD comic made by bleedman
that inspired me to delve into fanfiction and actually writing my stories, and it was following him on DA that got me to make my own account. Pretty much all of my creative output since then has been thanks to him prompting me to make that first step13:What are your preferred tools to create art?
I don't really have a preferred tool so far. In fact, I am still exploring which way works best for me, both in terms of writing and in terms of drawing. I've written both on PC and on iPad, I've used a Wacom tablet, I use mechanical pencils for my sketches...14:What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
Again, I don't have a preferred place just yet. Indeed, it's only quite recently that I've been able to organize my own private 'office' in my own flat, so give me some time to figure out whether it has worked or not.15:What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
Eh, I guess that would be my adventure in the OCT "Desire", which was quite a fun experience.
